Jyri Engeström on MoSoSo, Social Objects, Microblogging and other

Jyri Engeström’s presentation at Mobile Monday Amsterdam, touches on a number of interesting points including the importance of having well defined social objects (which maps to “purpose” or “goal”), and related verbs or actions — in other words, well defined social objects or purpose is what makes a social product succeed (or fail). I believe timing has a lot to do with it. Other points touched by Jyri includes the importance of sharing, invitations and turning those into gifts, and some of the characteristics of disruptive technologies… Jyri, who has a background in sociology, is co-founder at Jaiku, one of the MoSoSo companies who I think truly gets it.
