There is a piece by Ina Fried at Silicon.com, where Palm's CEO Ed Colligan says “We won't desert Palm OS”…

And my answer to him is — while I may not speak for all developers, and I don't want to sound rude, I certainly don't care any more… Palm management has dropped the ball so many times that Palm OS is no longer a priority. What this translates to is that developing for Palm OS is now a reactive thing — it is only included in roadmaps if a customer asks for it, vs. being proactive, where it would have been added to the roadmap from the get go.

Palm's CEO also talks about their support for Windows Treo, as “a break from its historical exclusive use of the Palm OS”. But if they are really breaking away or expanding, why say no to Symbian Treo?
