Jason writes about the buzz around Mobile 2.0, Mobile AJAX, and so on:

“While the web 2.0 taxonomy came about as a result of actual and meaningful changes in the web ecosystem, mobile 2.0 is primarily about supposition, wishful thinking and making a quick buck…”

Coincidentally, yesterday I wrote about Mobile AJAX Today, in an attempt to bring the topic closer to reality…

I have to say that my view of Mobile 2.0 (or what mobility should really be) is different from how others view it, and Mobile 2.0 is not Web 2.0 (but shares some elements of it) and is not Mobile AJAX, and it is about the future vs. what is mainstream today, mainly because of the state of things today (from handsets to carriers) – this vision is kind of possible today, but there are too many barriers; it's wishful thinking, although we are moving forward in the right direction for such vision to become a reality – but that is the topic of another writing.
