AP Photo by John Raoux NASA's Pluto-Kuiper Belt Mission has begun… Neat. The New Horizons probe was launched on top of an Atlas V rocket from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Cape Canaveral, Florida. “A decade-long voyage to visit the planet Pluto and then beyond” The ETA to Pluto is around July 2015.

What a beautiful photo of Dione and Saturn in the background… And because Dione was discovered in 1684 by Giovanni Cassini, nothing was more appropriate for taking the picture than the Cassini-Huygens probe… You can read more about Dione and Saturn's other moons at the NASA's Dione Solar System Exploration page.
