I was reading Erik Smartt's blog where he wrote about the recent winter storm here in Austin… Yeap, it was pretty bad. Ice everywhere, and it even snowed here, which is not typical. Erik made me laugh with the photo he grabbed of the “snacks and chips” aisle on the grocery store, where it seems that massive consumption of potato chips is how folks here make it though the cold nights… :-)
Then I was watching the news, where they were reporting some stats for the last three days – schools where closed, people stayed home “working”, and the increase on the number car accidents… But the stats that blew my mind was the increase on the number of reported family disturbances! It seems people can't stand it being for 3 consecutive days trapped in their homes with their families! :-/ Wow…
I hope my buddy Bill Day and his family are fine in Oklahoma (which is right above Texas), where the winter storm hit pretty bad, perhaps worst than here…
