Today I finished my arrangements for my trip to San Francisco for the Mobile 2 event where I will be speaking.
Finding the best airfare deal is always a pain in the neck. My buddy Gary pointed me to kayak.com — and I’m sold! The website searches a bunch of different airlines and travel sites and provides very cool “sliders” and other gadgets to quickly filter for what you are looking for — kayak.com is Web 2.0 buzzword compliant, and hey, it works! The bottom line: it helped me save around $100.

I also like TripIt.com for managing an itinerary. Email your reservations to it and it automagically builds an itin with weather, map of hotel, etc. And you can add other items (reservations, notes with URLs, etc.), share your itin with other travelers or non-travelers. Plus it provides an iCal feed that works with Google Calendar and other cal programs. Nice.
