When I look at the Zune interface that supposedly is getting patented, my first reaction is that it too convoluted or busy, and is taking widgets to the extreme.
The whole idea about widgets is to simplify the user experience. It is not about shoving more information into the tiny screen (all at once), but about how to better organize and convey information.
