Timing is an important thing. But timing is something some companies can deal better with than others companies, for example startups with fewer resources.

The mobile phone market is always ready for something new, better and more open. The users are getting more educated and sophisticated.

So timing I don't think will be a big deal for Google, for now. But they must/should get it right fast, no later than by the 2nd generation.

But I will say that network providers contracts is probably the thing to be concerned of when it comes to timing. The Android phone must happen during the fall, or sometime before Christmas, because once someone gets into a new contract it will be between 1-2 years before someone would re-consider a new phone. Network-provider contracts are evil and slow down the adoption of new mobile technologies...

Hope the Android phone comes out as soon as possible, otherwise I'm afraid that Android will be soon dead and gone...and that'll be a shame.

Yes, it looks pretty good, but when it is coming out? Still Q1 of 2009? I don't think I am waiting that long...

Nokia Tube looks pretty good too. The world edition will be available soon. But I am not sure about the US 3G version.
